Schooling
Come and play at Rainbow Meadow Farm! We specialize in a safe & fun cross country course for the green horse & green rider!! We also have a separate combined driving course for our driving schoolers! We look forward to seeing your smiling faces and beautiful horses!
- So, how does it work: First things first - availablity! Please contact Annie to confirm your date, number of horses and time (AM/PM) that you plan to arrive. The easiest way to reach Annie is via text at (360) 827-3627. Unless there is an event scheduled (calendar), you should be cleared to school!
- When you arrive at the farm: Before you mount your horse, you will need to make your way to the barn with the rainbow on it (Annie's pony barn) to sign a liability release and pay your fee. You may pay with cash, check or Venmo (to @RainbowMeadowFarm)
- Schooling Fees:
- Flat schooling (NO JUMPING) - $15 per horse/rider combination
- Jumping, use of XC course, use of Gallop track, etc - $40 per horse/rider combination
- Galloping Track only (NO JUMPING) - $20 per horse/rider combination
- Driving - $15 per horse/driver combination Things to know when schooling:
- BE SAFE - BE SMART
- All riders and drivers MUST wear a helmet and boots with heels.
- Cross Country vests are REQUIRED for all jumping
- When jumping, there must be at least one other person. This person can be on a horse or a ground person but must be capable of calling out in the event of an emergency.
- Be respectful and considerate of other riders as far as speed and distance.
- Be respectful of boarders and residents at the facility.
- If there are driving horses/ponies that your horse needs exposure to, please hollar - we are all horsemen here and no one wants to see another person (or equine) hurt! Safety is paramount!
- NO unleashed dogs
- Day stalls available, first come first serve (there are three complementary day stalls available in the schooling parking area. There are also overnight show stalls available during the show season (April - Oct) for anyone wanting to join us for more than 1 day!)
- Pony Club Certifications MUST be scheduled. Certifications will NOT have exclusive use of the facility during their testing unless it is a large testing, however, we do ask that any other schooling riders on the premises give way and be courteous.
